This storage facility is fantastic! Very wide open hours of availability, you can pull your car right inside, very nice and clean and new. Prices are very competitive. Staff is friendly and helpful, Sharon helped me switch my reservation to a bigger unit when I booked the wrong size, and was able to get it processed very quickly before my moving truck arrived. Thank you!

Best storage facility I've ever used. Moved here after a terrible experience with Extra Space... Stor-U-Self super easy to deal with, immaculate facilities, climate and pest control is top notch. You will not find a better home for you stuff.

Great service

I have had a storage unit at this self storage location for over a year. This was my first experience with self storage and its been amazing. This location is convenient, the staff is super helpful, and the rates are affordable. I will always have fond memories of my time spent moving furniture in and out of my unit. To top it off, they always had great music playing throughout the facility. I highly recommend Stor-U-Self to anyone looking for a self storage solution.

I've been renting space from this company for several months while I'm waiting for a new place to live to show up. My first encounter there was a little bit out of a horror movie where one row after another after another after another seemingly never ending in for eternity until you find your number! LOL I rent an 8x10 which is a lot of space with insurance for under $200 a month. Very convenient to bring stuff too never having to deal with the weather you drive right into the building and unload your stuff there inside the building with tons of security. Once inside, you can remove your stuff from the car put it on a handy very easily balanced dolly and steer it down to your compartment no cold no heat no snow no rain however, even if you lock yourself out of your car which I did once you don't have to freeze outside while you're waiting for AAA to let you in your car. The people who manage are very friendly and they're very helpful if you are in such an emergency!

I am a long time storage facility customer in many places around the country. I am very particular about two (2) things: management & accommodations. Dennis and the team run an exceptional place! Sharon went above and beyond to assist me with my move-in particulars. I could not recommend Stor-U-Self more highly! You can be confident and rest assured that all everything is perfect. Further, this place is just super in terms of location (convenient off the highway) and ammenities with loading and access to units being the best I've ever had anywhere. It is nice to be able to stay organized and "work" with things in a very clean environment with additional space to take a break, have a drink of water, and use the bathroom even during after office access hours. Last, the pricing is great - not just for the area but as I've expereinced at other storage facitilites in San Franciso, Los Angeles, Kansas, Charlotte, and New Jersey. Erase doubt and do not hesitate to move-in...you may never want to move out!

I am a professional stager and have been renting storage and Uhauls from this location for years. I could not be happier with the cleanliness, efficiency and customer service I’ve experienced here with this team. I feel safe working here and the staff, I feel , cares about their clientele which is rare in this industry. If you are looking for storage or truck rental needs, I can not recommend Stor U Self enough!

Always a great experience

I had an excellent experience with the staff at this facility. They were incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially considering that I had never used a storage facility for my things before (I had a lot of questions lol). The place was very clean with easy access and dollies provided for use. There is even a garage where we could drive our 15' UHaul vehicle right in to use the truck ramp for some heavy tool boxes. Bathrooms on site too. We easily rolled those through to the locker, and mostly unloaded the rest of our things by backing the vehicle up to a main access door at the front. I got a really great deal that they honored from their website when I booked, and when I mentioned that I was storing my childhood Barbies (some still in the boxes), they generously moved our locker to the main floor to provide extra climate safety, which really help put me at ease. I didn't even ask about moving the locker, they just right away made the recommendation without charging me anything extra!! Also, I noticed they had dog biscuits at their coffee station, which is awesome. Overall I would recommend this place to everyone!

Associates were very helpful. Everything very clean and organized. Even the bathroom was clean!

I have had a great experience using Stor-U-Self in Wakefield, MA. We have been keeping belongings here while we sell our home, and each time I visit to pick up or drop off something in our unit the staff has been extremely friendly. After going to another well known self-storage company in Woburn and having a very poor experience, I decided not to rent with them and sought out Stor-U-Self. Dennis Barden, manager of this space has been excellent and I highly recommend considering them if you need self storage.

Having no prior experience with renting a storage unit, I was a little overwhelmed at the prospect. While searching for a unit, I came across Stor-U-Self. I waded through the hundreds of 4 and 5 star reviews and decided to do a deep dive and look for negative reviews/areas where people had problems. The reason I did this was because everything seemed a little too good to be true—a little too easy. If you are in the same boat while trying to rent a unit of your own, do yourself a favor and rent from here. I was able to reserve an available unit for 2 weeks (with no card information I might add) for free so I could continue my search. After viewing the space and speaking with the two lovely staff in the office, I quickly realized that all of the 5 star reviews were correct. The staff were so pleasant (and the gent who showed me to the unit actually said “you know what, x feature might make this unit a little tricky, let me see if we have a better one in these dimensions”) While chatting with the staff at the front desk, they mentioned it was a family owned/run business—and the everything clicked. If you have taken the time to read this review, understand that the rates/services this company is offering are not “too good to be true,” My advice? If they have an open unit, take it. You will not regret it!

Dennis is the man! Didn’t need storage but for a couple weeks and he totally hooked it up for me! These are very honest, hard working people who want to cater to your needs. If you’re looking for a place to store your stuff, this is the place.

Had a great experience here! Sharon at Stor-U-Self was so incredibly helpful and informative. It was my first time renting storage so I had a lot of questions. She was patient and took the time to explain everything I would need, show me my unit, and walk me through accessing the facility outside of office hours. The space itself is also very clean and well monitored with tons of surveillance. I would definitely recommend this facility for anyone looking to store their items.

Began to prepare to move and put our home on the market and found this storage facility to store some household furniture. The place is up to date, exceptionally clean, staff friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this facility and I have rented from others which were fine yet Stor-U—Self is head and shoulders above the competition!

After my parents passed away I needed a safe space to store some items I brought from their house. Dennis and Sharon at Stor-U-Self couldn't have been nicer. Friendly and accommodating. The space is well maintained and managed. I love it that there is a section where I can drive in, especially when the weather was hot or it was snowing or raining. I give high marks to the facility and the staff working there!

I have been a renter at Stor-U-Self in Wakefield for 4 years. I chose to rent there for the convenient location , and the ability to drive my vehicle inside. I was operating a business out of MANY of their storage units . The facility is impeccably clean, and the employees are always available to help in any way possible , while providing a level of customer service that goes unmatched. Dennis and his team are more than accommodating. Due to the nature of my business, I would have frequent LARGE deliveries , and wasn't always available to be there to sign, and receive the shipment. The team at Stor-U-Self Wakefield, offered to accept any incoming shipments, as well as store it until I was able to return to the facility. I highly recommend this establishment.

Words cannot do justice to how I feel about Dennis (Stor-U-Self's General Manager). My wife and I had only a few hours to drive from NJ to Cambridge, pack up her studio apartment and make it to Stor-U-Self by 5pm. We were tired and stressed out after encountering many problems and realized we might not make it to Stor-U-Self by 5pm. We called to beg for more time and Dennis very calmly told us to relax, he would wait for us. We made it there a little after 5pm (after closing!) and he was there with a smile on his face. He didn't rush us. He took his time explaining everything. He walked around the whole facility, showing us the best routes to make it easier for us. He provided hand sanitizer and asked us if we wanted water. If you are in search of a storage facility, this is the place you need to go. Even if you have to drive a few miles out of your way, believe me, it's worth it. Dennis and his staff are incredibly empathetic and kind. Moving and storage is stressful, they will help you forget all the stress and maybe even make the experience enjoyable!

Climate controlled is a plus, the drive in section around back is something I have never seen before which also adds a nice touch. Definitely recommend!

The facility and services are awesome. The staff is Friendly and helpful. Facility is safe and secure. Convenient hours for access. Clean and has an out of the weather loading area. The most useful and helpful bonus service is that they will recieve your packages and keep them secure until you can pick them up. I lived in an area where my packages kept getting stolen. I changed to recieving my packages to self u store never had a package lost again. I recommend 100%.

Stor-U-Self storage facility is truly outstanding and the gentleman that helped me upon arrival, really went out of his way to answer all of my questions. This location is well safeguarded, air conditioned, spacious and conveniently located off of route 95/128 in Wakefield. I can honestly say that I'd give my highest recommendation.

First time using self storage. It's a newer facility and is very clean and well maintained. The staff members are very professional and commicate any changes well.

I found this great storage facility after google map searching the entire Boston Metro area. I was specifically looking for a small closet sized storage unit (which they had many) but they had tons of bigger units in a nearly empty, brand new and clean facility. The facility and grounds are well organized, secure and the staff were nice. The bonus was a bathroom in the facility (also super clean) which was much appreciated after moving/organizing into my storage space. Very happy to have found this place. I've rented from storage places down the east coast and this place is by far the best I've come across (being brand new probably helps a lot).
